California Privacy Policy Addendum
Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and share information on all customers. This California Privacy Policy Addendum (this “Addendum”) applies solely to California residents. Any terms defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (as amended, the “CPRA”) have the same meaning when used in this Addendum.
Information We Collect:
We collect information directly from you when you provide it to us, indirectly as you navigate our website, and from third parties including our service providers. In the preceding twelve (12) months, we have collected the following categories of personal information (collectively, “Personal Information”):
- Identifiers such as name, billing address, shipping address, contact information, e-mail address, and IP address;
- Personal information categories listed in the California Customer Records statute (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80(e)) such as a name, address, telephone number, and payment information;
- Commercial information such as order activity and history;
- Internet or other similar network activity such as browsing history, search history, and your interaction with our website; and
- Geolocation data associated with your IP address.
We keep the Personal Information collected from you for as long as necessary or appropriate to serve you, maintain your account, or as otherwise needed to operate the business, comply with legal and reporting obligations, or for the detection and prevention of fraud.
How Information Is Used:
- Process your requests, purchases, transactions, and payments;
- Marketing purposes such as informing you of new products or promotions or serving you relevant ads on third-party sites;
- To prevent transactional fraud;
- Debugging to identify and repair errors in our website functionality; and
- To fulfill any other purpose for which you provide consent.
How and to Whom Information is Disclosed:
In the preceding twelve (12) months, we have disclosed:
- Identifiers to service providers to verify customer information, fulfill orders and requests, and for marketing purposes;
- Personal Information categories listed in the California Customer Records statute (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80(e)) to third party payment processors and service providers to verify customer information, process payments, fulfill orders and requests, and for marketing purposes; and
- Commercial information and Internet or other similar network activity to third party marketing partners and service providers for marketing services and to improve website operations including site functionality and navigation.
In addition to the above, we may disclose any or all categories of Personal Information as necessary to comply with federal, state, local laws, or court orders, law enforcement requests, the defense or exercise of other legal claims, or to maintain an evidentiary privilege. We may also disclose your information in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Uline’s assets.
How and to Whom Information is Shared and Sold:
In the preceding twelve (12) months, we have sold and/or shared to third party marketing partners for marketing services:
- Identifiers;
- Personal Information categories listed in the California Customer Records statute (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80(e));
- Commercial information; and
- Internet or other similar network activity.
Uline does not sell and/or share geolocation data. Uline does not knowingly collect, share, or sell information of consumers under 16 years of age.
Information Choices:
- Direct Mail – to opt out of catalog/promotional mailings, visit Marketing Preferences.
- Email - to opt out of marketing emails, click on the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of our e-mails
- Note: This will not remove you from non-promotional e-mail messages regarding your account (i.e. order confirmations).
- Interest-Based ads – please visit Ads & Tracking.
- To opt-out of the sale/sharing of your personal information, please click "Do Not Sell or Share my Personal Information."
Consumer Data Rights:
As a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what Personal Information Uline has collected about you during the prior 12 months, where that Personal Information came from, the purpose for collecting, selling, or sharing the Personal Information, and the categories of third parties Uline has shared or sold your Personal Information to;
- Access or request a copy of the Personal Information that Uline has collected about you;
- Request that Uline delete your Personal Information;
- Correct inaccurate Personal Information; and/or
- Opt-out of the sale/sharing of your Personal Information.
Uline will not discriminate against you because you exercised any of your rights under the CPRA.
If you are logged in and we receive a “privacy control signal”, we will opt you out of the sale or sharing of Personal Information.
If we receive a “do not track” your online activities signal, we do not honor such signals at this time.
In the future, Uline may update this Addendum to reflect unanticipated practices not outlined in this Addendum. These changes will be posted to the website, and users are invited to occasionally review the Uline Privacy Policy and this Addendum.

The provided contact information will only be used to verify your identity or authority to make the request. An agent may act on your behalf with a signed authorization agreement. Please allow 45 days for a response.
